VIDEO REVIEW - The Further Adventures of Toad (Series 1, Episode 1)
The 28th of my video reviews dedicated to the making of Cosgrove Hall's film and series of 'The Wind in the Willows', featuring 'picture in picture' and the odd 'behind the scenes' image too! This one is for the very first episode of the series - Episode 1 from Series 1, 'The Further Adventures of Toad' (originally transmitted 27th April 1984). This episode feels slightly out of place season-wise, only because it isn't set at any particular point in the year, but due to the fact that there are less summer episodes than any other season it feels appropriate to review it now. This was released on the VHS cassette of the same name, in 1989, which actually featured two alternate covers and programs.
Reviews of the series continues as we head into late summer, on Sunday 4th August 2019, with 'The Grand Annual Show' (Episode 7 from Series 1).
All 52 episodes have been sorted into a special 'seasonal' order. The remaining 13 'bonus' episodes (Series 5/the 'Oh! Mr Toad!' spin-off episodes) are being reviewed, one by one, as 'additions' every 4 weeks. Comments very welcome. :)
