VIDEO REVIEW - The Yuletide Entertainment (Series 1, Episode 13)
The 53rd of my video reviews dedicated to the making of Cosgrove Hall's film and series of 'The Wind in the Willows', featuring 'picture in picture' and the odd 'behind the scenes' image too, including archival photos of existing costumes and props and original drawings! This one is for Episode 13 from Series 1, 'The Yuletide Entertainment' (originally transmitted in the UK on 24th December 1984). It was released in its original 25-minute form on the 'Winter Tales' video until 2001 onward, when it was cut to the regular 20-minute length for all subsequent releases. Here I am reviewing the extended version, and the entire original hand-written script can be read on-screen as you watch, so look our for any differences.
Christmas 2019 is almost upon us, and so Merry Christmas one and all! Our four friends get into the festive spirit with this classic episode, and the yuletide season continues as I review 'Tunnels and Tremors' on Sunday 22nd December 2019.
All 52 episodes have been sorted into a special 'seasonal' order. The remaining 13 'bonus' episodes (Series 5/the 'Oh! Mr Toad!' spin-off episodes) are being reviewed, one by one, as 'additions' every 4 weeks. Comments very welcome. :)
