VIDEO REVIEW - "Winter Haunts" (Series 3, Episode 13)
The 59th of my video reviews, aimed at us nostalgic adults, dedicated to the making of Cosgrove Hall's 1980's film and series of 'The Wind in the Willows', featuring 'picture in picture' and the odd 'behind the scenes' image too, including archival photos of existing costumes and props and original drawings! This one is for Episode 13 from Series 3, '"Winter Haunts"' (originally transmitted in the UK on 26th March 1987). It was also released on the 'Masquerade' video in 1987, before finally becoming available on DVD from 2008. The entire script can be read on-screen as you watch, so look our for any differences.
As a winter episode this one feels apt for the time of year, with the weather growing colder and snow (perhaps) on the way here in the UK. We delve further into mid-winter with my review for 'Winter Sports' (Series 2, Episode 1) on Sunday 26th January 2020.
All 52 episodes have been sorted into a special 'seasonal' order. The remaining 13 'bonus' episodes (Series 5/the 'Oh! Mr Toad!' spin-off episodes) are being reviewed, one by one, as 'additions' every 4 weeks. Comments very welcome. :)
