VIDEO REVIEW - Auberon's Return (Series 2, Episode 9)

The 65th of my video reviews, aimed at us nostalgic adults, dedicated to the making of Cosgrove Hall's 1980's film and series of 'The Wind in the Willows', featuring 'picture in picture' and the odd 'behind the scenes' image too, including archival photos of existing costumes and props and original drawings! This one is for Episode 9 from Series 2, 'Auberon's Return' (originally transmitted in the UK on 25th February 1986). It was also released on VHS in the UK on the 'Mole's Cousin and Other Stories' video, and only became available on DVD from 2007.

With a strong feeling of the spring around the corner, this review concludes the winter canon, and indeed the 'regular' episodes of 'The Wind in the Willows'. The final review will be for the 1989 special, 'A Tale of Two Toads', on Sunday 1st March 2020.

All 52 episodes have been sorted into a special 'seasonal' order. The remaining 13 'bonus' episodes (Series 5/the 'Oh! Mr Toad!' spin-off episodes) are being reviewed, one by one, as 'additions' every 4 weeks. Comments very welcome. :)
